Bipolar Disorder is the name used to describe a set of conditions where the individual experiences mood swings between two opposite poles. Bipolar Disorder used to be known as 'manic depression'. The highs of Bipolar Disorder are called mania or hypomania. The lows are called depression. Occasionally people can experience a mixture of both highs and lows at the same time giving a mixed picture (also called mixed state) With the right treatment, most people with Bipolar Disorder are able, to varying extents, to live normal and productive lives.

Turkish Martyrs

For anyone who would like to know more about the recent tragedy in Turkey, can I refer you to this post? Our brothers and sisters in Turkey are very keen to ensure that accurate information is circulated to those who are interested. Let us continue to pray for the persecuted church in Turkey.

Linda H said...: Thanks for sharing that. The incident hit pretty hard here as one of them was 'one of ours' so to speak. People here have struggled a bit with it. I don't think I'll share with them those details as they are probably a bit gruesome, but I had been looking for more info muyself as obviously it's been a bit sensitive and not much out there about it. I am praying this week at church so it's given me some good prayer points. THanks my dear L xxx; 10 May 2007 at 8:15 pm
